Kildare Construction is a full-service general contractor based near Herring Cove, Nova Scotia. We’ve been building in HRM and the South Shore since 2015, specializing in architectural new builds, passive homes, and large-scale renovations.
Led by journeyman carpenter Mick Doran, we self-perform much of our work in-house. Our team of carpenters complete work on-site, from forming foundations and structural framing, to finish carpentry and tiling. As the general contractor, Kildare coordinates a trusted network of local trades who together with our team, execute each project from start to finish.
We're not a project management firm. We’re builders —hands-on, accountable, and detail-oriented. Clients work with us because they value high standards, clear communication, and a team that respects their space and their time.
From Kildare to the Coast
Kildare Construction was established in 2015 by journeyman carpenter Mick Doran. Originally from County Kildare, Ireland, Mick moved to Nova Scotia in 2009 and brought with him a lifelong commitment to skilled trades and building done right.
Backed by more than 25 years in the construction industry, Mick leads a team known for quality work, clear communication, and respect for both the job and the client. What began as a small, hands-on operation has grown into a full-service general contracting company, specializing in energy-efficient homes, multi-unit residential builds, and architectural projects across Nova Scotia.
